From Villa Manzara, it is a few minutes walk to the sea. On the waterfront there are various jetties, which offer the opportunity to swim, lounge or fish. If one follows the esplanade along the waterfront, one arrives in Gündogan (10 minute walk), with its beach, various trendy café’s, restaurants (with live music) and marina. Gündogan is a tantalising mix of an authentic fishing village and a vibrant tourism hot spot.
Bodrum’s nickname ‘St. Tropez of Turkey’ is well deserved. It is vibrant town with an exuberance of boutiques and restaurants. In the ancient world, Halikarnassos was one of the seven wonders of the world. Nowadays, it is also Europe’s biggest open air discothèque. Apart from that, the Bodrum peninsula offers a lot of activities.
